Student Credit Card Scheme (WB)

The West Bengal Student Credit Card (SCC) Scheme is an initiative of the Government of West Bengal, Higher Education Department to support students financially by providing up to ₹10 Lakhs collateral-free loan at 4% simple interest.

A 1% interest concession will be provided if the borrower services the interest during the study period. The total repayment period is 15 years, including the moratorium/repayment holiday.

How to Apply

• Existing Applicants: Select "Student Login"

Existing students may apply through the online portal by submitting proper information and uploading required documents. Applications should be made only for remaining college fees, ensuring alignment between loan amount and course fees.

Eligibility (Residency Criteria)

If the student or their family has been residing in the State of West Bengal for at least 10 years prior to the application date, they are eligible under this scheme.

Post Application Process

After submitting the application form, students must submit a printed copy to the college office for verification. The college will verify and forward the application to the Higher Education Department.

• Colour photographs (Student & Co-borrower)
