Student Credit Card Scheme (WB)

The West Bengal – SCC Scheme is an initiative of the Govt. of West Bengal Higher Education Dept. to support all students financially by providing up to 10 Lacs Collateral Free Loan @ 4% Simple Interest.

1% interest concession will be provided to borrower if the interest is fully serviced during the study period. The repayment period shall be 15 years for any loan availed under this Credit Card including the Moratorium/ repayment holiday.

Applying for the West Bengal Student Credit Card Scheme

• Visit official website for the Higher Education Department https://www.wbscc.wb.gov.in
• For New Applicants: Select Student Registration
• For Existing Applicants: Select Student Login

Existing Students may apply for Student Credit Card through onlineportal (https://wbscc.wb.gov.in/) with proper information and uploading the appropriate documents in the portal. Only for remaining college fees, students may apply. Please keep the similarity between loan amount and due course fees.

Resident of West Bengal for the purpose of WB SCC scheme

If the student or their family is residing in the State of West Bengal at least for a period of 10 (Ten) years preceding the date of application, she/he shall be considered as a resident of the State under this scheme.

After submission the application form, students will have to submit the same to the college office for Verification.

Following documents are to be submitted to the college office. After scrutiny and verification, college will forward the application to the Higher Education Department.

• One Request letter on plain paper for Verification.
• Print out Copy of Online Application Form
• Self Attested Photocopy of Last Money Receipt
• Self Attested Photocopy of Last Qualifying Marksheet.
• Self Attested Photocopy of Student Madhyamik Admit Card
• Self Attested Photocopy of Student and Co-Borrower Aadhaar Card
• Self Attested Photocopy of Student and Co-Borrower Voter Card
• Self Attested Photocopy of Student and Co-Borrower Pan Card
• Self Attested Photocopy of Student and Co-Borrower Bank Details
• Self Attested Photocopy of Student and Co-Borrower Caste Certificate (If Any)
• Student and Co-Borrower Colour Photo
• Self Attested Photocopy of Annual Income Certificate of Co-Borrower
• Self Attested Photocopy of Student ID card
• Self Attested Photocopy of Fees Structure

Original of all above documents will be verified by the College Office. Please keep Original copy of all above documents.
